If so, come along and have a go!

It's not just the theatrical side that we get involved with as, unlike lots of other amateur theatre groups, we own our own theatre building so our members get involved in all everything from managing our own extensive costume store, performing repairs and modifications to the theatre building, painting & decorating work, electrics, woodwork, and other DIY jobs. So even if you have an interest in that side rather than, or in addition to, the theatrical side you're still more than welcome to come and help us out! In fact, quite a few of our members never 'tread the boards' at all and instead help out with all the backstage work.

We always welcome anyone who would like to visit our little theatre and see what we do. We meet at around 7:30pm every Monday and Thursday at our premises - Powys Theatre, Canal Road, Newtown. We welcome anyone of any age but please note that under 17s must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult and to join our society you must be aged 16 years or older. To act in a play you must be at least 18 years of age.
