The next play taking place on 10th-15th November will be a thriller called "Strictly Murder" by Brian Clemens. Tickets go on sale in the Oriel Davies Gallery in Newtown from the 3rd November.

The second play of our 39th season is this famous play by J. B. Priestley. It is a spring evening in the early part of the 20th century at the Brummel home of the Birlings, a prosperous industrial family in the North Midlands. The family is enjoying a dinner party celebrating the engagement of their daughter to a man who is heir to the most successful family business in the North - but they are about to be interrupted by a persistent Police Inspector. Who is this man and just what does he know about the lives of these people?

Many thanks to everyone who attended our open day on Saturday 23rd June, we hope you enjoyed your visit to our theatre. The day was a resounding success for us and we gained some new members. Our 2006/7 season closes with "Romantic Comedy" by Bernard Slade and produced by Shirley Crowther. This play is a comedy with an element of romance! Tickets go on sale on the 23rd of April.

Readings for our next production

Play readings for the next production will be held on Monday 27th and Thursday 30th November at 7:30pm in the theatre. If you have an interest in joining us either on stage or back stage, please do come along. The production will be held on the 12th to 17th February 2007.

Tickets On Sale for "Caught in the Net"

13th November 2006

Our 2006/7 season opens with "Caught in the Net". This is a great comedy by Ray Cooney and is a follow on from "Run For Your Wife". Tickets on sale from 13th November from the Newtown Tourist Information Centre. This is a production not to be missed!

2005/6 Season Ends

 

Third product: The Secret Tent by Elizabeth Addyman

This serious and thought provoking play closed our 2005/6 season. Thank you to all who came to watch it.

Second Production: Relative Values

The second production of the season was held on the week starting 6th February and was the highly successful play Relative Values by Noël Coward and produced by Shirley Crowther.

First Production: Whose Life Is It Anyway?

The first play of our 2005/6 season was held on the week starting 14th November and was the provocative drama "Whose Life Is It Anyway?" written by Brian Clark and produced by Marjorie Meredith. We welcomed Melina Abbott and Lesley Crowther as newcomers to our stage and also welcomed the return of Sally Orme.

2004/5 Season

 

The season ended with the successfully thriller "Fatal Encounter" by Francis Durbridge and produced by Frank Capener. It was an exciting play about intrigue, blackmail and murder.
