Summer 2009

These are some of the tasks we have noted down for this summer:

• 75th Anniversary Celebration Plans.
• Costumes: sorting out
• Replacing facia boards on dressing room block and redoing all the external electrical wiring. In progress
• Check the roof above the dressing room. We had some water ingress during the snow.
• Extending/moving handrail to costume room. Done.
• Replacing spots in foyer.
• Address lighting in dressing room.
• Plumbing in mens toilet.
• Clearing out fallen plaster in loft. In progress

Workshops

A number of members have been interested in learning new aspects of the theatre. So during this summer we'll be holding a number of workshops for our members on technical, procedures and hopefully make-up and voice projection. The dates set so far are:

• 25th June: General Duties and procedures such as Front of House duties, fire drills, locking up, where things are switched on and off, etc.
• 9th July: Lighting - overview of the different types of lanterns and their use, lamp replacement, fixing on lighting bars, connecting up to the dimmer packs and control desk.
• 16th July: Sound - operation of minidisc, mixer desk, etc.
